FRIENDS !

El Quintet (“The Quintet”) is, above all, about 5 friends whose friendship has grown around a place that brings them together: the Cistercian Monastery of Santes Creus in the municipality of Aiguamúrcia, Catalonia, Spain, and which has its origins in the XIIth century.

The five friends, Pilar, Joaquín, Xavier, Jordi and Toni, were quickly joined by Conchita, Jordi’s wife and Christine, Xavier’s spouse. All are actively involved in the maintenance of the vineyard throughout the year, enticing friends and relatives to help out. Together they founded LA VINYA DEL QUINTET, S.L.

The quality of grapes during ripening and the various stages of winemaking are expertly guided by Toni, oenologist and vintner, who oversees the viticulture work and ensures the quality of Monestir wines at La Boella (La Canonja, Tarragona province), a beautiful cellar, as can be seen in our Photo Gallery.
